Women Adviser and Broker Group event – 7 November 2017

Where the time has gone? We are back – hopefully bigger and stronger – and plan to rekindle our meetings which I know I am not the only one to have greatly missed.

One of the most valuable source of help in my business I have found has come from fellow advisers. Over the years I’m not the only one who has said that they have gain strength from this group and I am excited to catch up with the old faces.

Females in this industry are a rarity so let’s help each other to move forward.

Guest speaker

Clare Moffat, Prudential, Senior Pensions Technical Manager and a Qualified Lawyer

Pension on Divorce

This is an area many female advisers specialise in, divorce is a time many females turn to female adviser to guide and hold their hands through. Clare will go through how Pension Freedom has changed this arena plus we will have a valuable round table discussing issues flagged up to the Prudential Technical team and looking at ways around them.

Dealing with pensions on divorce

  • How Pension freedom has impacted pensions and divorce and potentially created a change in behaviour
  • The rise of the silver divorcee and the choices available to them
  • The impact of decisions made through divorce on retirement & generational planning
  • Examples of queries relating to these topics from the Prudential technical team

Andie Lawson, Prudential, Business Consultancy Manager

Service Propositions and Adviser charging

Now we all have propositions embedded in our practices it’s a great time to reflect on these, look at them and do they need updating and what sets us apart from our competitive and whether we need to review this.

The evolution of service propositions and adviser charging

Now we all have propositions embedded in our practices it’s a great time to reflect on these, look at them and do they need updating and what sets us apart from our competitive and whether we need to review this.

  • Discuss and debate the evolution of these two topics – post pensions reforms
  • How do you define, articulate and create a value story that you can share with your clients, and why is this important?
